Our services are offered free of cost, because we believe that mental health support should be accessible to all.
Whether you are facing academic stress, personal concerns, relationship difficulties, workplace challenges, or simply need someone to talk to, we are here to listen with empathy and without judgment.
Seeking support is not a sign of weakness, rather it is an act of courage and self-care. Our aim is to help you build resilience, clarity, and confidence so that you can thrive in your personal, academic, and professional life.
We warmly invite you to reach out whenever you feel the need. Your well-being truly matters to us. With care and commitment.

Message from the University Counselor

Dear Friend,

College life can be exciting, overwhelming, confusing, and transformative, sometimes all at once. The Counseling space is designed to be a pause from that rush. It’s a space that belongs to you: where you can speak openly, sit in silence if you need to, untangle your thoughts, or simply breathe without pressure or judgment.

Therapy isn’t only for moments of crisis. It can be helpful when you’re feeling stressed, anxious, low, stuck, lonely, uncertain about relationships, questioning your identity, or trying to make sense of who you are becoming. It can also be a space for growth, to build self-awareness, strengthen boundaries, develop coping skills, and understand patterns that may be holding you back.

Reaching out can feel intimidating, but it’s also an act of self-care and strength. Whenever you’re ready, this space is here for you.

Let us understand

Common Mental Health Concerns

Do you feel like..

  • You are constantly on alert, even when nothing urgent is happening.
  • Little things set you off, a message, a delay, a to-do list that won't end.
  • Your body feels tense; shoulders, jaw, back always tight.
  • You're snapping at people or zoning out because your brain's just... done.
  • You either can't sleep or can't stop sleeping.
  • These signs may suggest you are currently experiencing stress.

What Causes Stress?

  • Pressure overload: Deadlines, exams, performance expectations, your brain feels cornered.
  • Uncertainty: Not knowing what's next is like being stuck in a foggy maze.
  • Relationships: when conflicts that are unresolved trouble our peace and well-being.
  • Perfectionism: Trying to be "perfect" all the time is an endless treadmill.
  • Information overload: News, social media, constant comparison, it's like mental clutter you never got to clean.
  • Lack of control: Feeling like life is driving and you're just a passenger.

What can I do?

  • Build Predictable Routines: Uncertainty fuels stress. A steady routine, self-care, regular sleep, meals, and daily structure. It gives your brain a sense of control.
  • Time Blocking: Organize your day into chunks of focused work based on priority of the task and rest. This gives structure and prevents burnout.
  • Deep Breathing or Box Breathing: Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. It activates your body's relaxation response.

Individual Counseling
"The experience was pretty good overall. I was dealing with my first heartbreak and Shubhangi ma'am really helped me understand, process and execute how to deal with my feelings & emotions. She really understood my situation and went deep into the underlying issues that kept me up at night, I no longer feel the symptoms that I had, initially before I took up these sessions. Her techniques also empower me to be calm & grounded during certain situations."

Individual Counseling
"I personally very much needed the treatment I'm receiving right now at the Counseling Centre by Shubhangi ma'am. I approached the Counseling Centre with no expectations, like one last attempt for seeking help. Believe it or not but just after the first session I saw a noticeable change within me, I had a realisation about myself which led to a chain-reaction of more realisations. It felt life changing and much needed. The upcoming sessions made me enthusiastic, 'what am I going to learn today about myself or anything'. My counselor helped me with my Anger issues aswell. Furthermore because of my counselor we also learnt that I might have ADHD, which I did get a official diagnosis from my doctor and now I'm on ADHD meds aswell. Truly I'm very grateful for what I have recieved."
