The Department of Psychology

A department with deep roots, flourishing every day.

Independent of Philosophy since the 1980s, with a full undergraduate major since 2019 and our first postgraduate cohort in 2024–25. Our students learn between heritage walls and modern laboratories in a Romanesque Transitional landmark on Mahatma Gandhi Road, Fort.

The Counselling Centre

You don’t need a reason to come in.

Opened in 2024 on the fourth floor of the Department of Psychology, the Centre offers free, confidential counselling to students and staff of the university, and to people from outside it. Over 1,000 sessions a year.
