I want to seek therapy but…

A few thoughts that often come up.

I don't think my problems are big enough for therapy.
Many people believe therapy is only for crises, but it's also for personal growth, clarity, and prevention.
What if I don't see results?
It's natural to want quick change, but therapy isn't a one-time fix — it's a process of gradual understanding and growth. Progress can be subtle at first, but over time you start noticing shifts in how you think, feel, and respond.
I should be able to handle things on my own.
You don't have to do it all alone. Therapy offers tools and perspective that self-help can't always provide.
I don't know how to start or what to say.
That's completely okay — your therapist will gently guide you through the process.
It's too expensive — I can't afford it right now.
It's valid to worry about cost; the university offers free counseling services for all to avail.
I don't have time.
Even a single session can bring relief and clarity — investing in your mind saves time lost to stress later.
